New Dreams, New Lanes

Hello Dreamers,

As 2020 continues to deliver whatever is hiding up her sleeve, I'm here to remind you of the dreams you're still building. When you have new dreams that require you to drive in new lanes, I want you to apply heavy pressure with a purpose. As I've been immersed in a new lane, building a new dream, I've discovered some best practices that have been keeping me on my toes. I've been immersed and I want you to meet me there.

3 New Lane Dream Building Strategies

💙 Community & Market Research: You've heard me talk time and time again about diving deep into your market research. Knowing about the new highway you're entering will only propel your drive. Something that has been a Godsend for me has been Facebook groups. I have immersed myself in my new dream via a community rich in experience, expertise, and endurance. I have learned so much just from browsing and reading amongst my peers. Engaging in conversations with a community of folks not afraid to share their experiences has been glorious. I encourage you to add Facebook groups to your market research. You'll learn so much.

💙 Mentorship: We often forget that there are experts on our new highway. People who have driven this road before. What would you do if you could sit in the passenger seat with them? What would you ask? Finding a mentor or coach is something we've already covered but this time I want you to drill down and get niche-specific. I have met some incredibly wonderful mentors in my new lane. They have simply shared best practices and advice that is priceless. You don't have to drive alone. Find someone who is willing to show you the ropes. This of course will take some action on your part. Do your research, make your ask, and do all of the follow-up work.

💙 Timing: I am slow-rolling into my new lane and I couldn't be any happier. I'm used to having projected launch dates but this time around I am truly immersed in the design thinking framework. I am absolutely enjoying iterating my project and making it better. Take your time and get it right. Yes, I preach just do it and I highly believe that you have to launch to grow but also slow roll your launch and work on getting things in order. I have taken so much time to adjust and make this new dream a hit. I have an internal launch date in mind and I am so focused on what feels right. Create a timeline with a launch date and iterate in between. Do what you need to do to make your new dream in your new lane a hit.
