Peace ✌

Peace Dreamer,

/pēs/

freedom from disturbance; tranquility.

In the essence of Advent and the Holiday season (which is troubling for most), I’m here to talk about a dreamers’ peace. What exactly does that mean? I'm glad you asked! If you’re anything like me then you find solace in your dreams. It’s the perfect freedom that is creatively at your design for you to escape. Let me repeat that!

A dreamer’s peace can be found in the ability to creatively craft and design their greatest escape- their dreams

Let me personally ask you a few questions:

What brings you peace?

When do you feel most at peace?

What happens or occurs when you experience peace?

When was the last time you felt at peace?

If you’re like hey Kiylise it's still 2020, people are dying, people are sick, we can’t go outside, the world is a mess, what’s this peace you speak of? I want you to know:

  1. I hear you. I’ve lost loved ones, I’ve been sick, and stuck in the house, and by the grace of God, I’m still here. I’m here just sitting on this little Zen yoga mat writing this post.

  2. I am you. In the midst of this chaos, you’ve experienced or shared some moment of peace. The moment when you were able to breathe for just 1 second and it felt soooo good. I’m talking like bubble bath and wine good, sitting in the car in the driveway for an extended period of time good, and definitely the endorphin party you experience after you crush a workout good. It felt good and I want you to reflect on how you can gone ahead and drag that right into 2021. I desire for you to have peace so that you can design your dream and escape right into it.

How to get to peace (follow me for one sec)

I recently dug deep with this thing. I sat and wrote a list of things that bring me peace and guess what, they were all activities such as drinking my favorite tea, sitting in dimly lit spaces, writing, etc. The thing I was missing was the actual feeling of being at peace. What do I feel when I am at peace? I honestly feel calm, rid of worry and anxiety, I am silent, I am strong, I am relaxed. I feel like my whole self. These are the feelings I experience while partaking in the writing, relaxing, and sipping tea.

I want you to embark and reflect on your peace journey because in 2021 you will be inviting all the peace your heart desires. I never give homework on a blog but here’s your homework dreamer, it’s a simple writing exercise:

What brings you peace?

When do you feel most at peace?

What happens or occurs when you experience peace?

When was the last time you felt at peace?

What feelings do you feel when you experience peace?

How will you cultivate peace in 2021?

What’s a barrier to your peace and how can you put YOU first to reclaim at least 10 minutes of peace?

What will you do today to make your peace journey a reality?

Ok, thanks Kiylise for the homework but back to how to get peace??? Well the first thing to do is know YOU. Knowing what brings you peace builds the beautifully decorated bridge for you to get there. It's really that simple. We don't have what we don't ask for or invite into our lives. If you're clinging on and need that peace, the way to get it is to be explicit and know what it even is that you're asking for. Promise!

Don't forget! "It's not on you, it's in you and what's in you, they can not take away"..word to Nip (always & all year)

Until next time,

Peace & Sweet Dreaming,

Kiylise Lowe, Chief Dream Engineer
